The Industry Background

The Philippine downstream plastics industry refers to the plastic fabricators and manufacturers which convert plastic resins to industrial and consumer finished products.

Advocacy Programs


The industry adheres to environmentally friendly practices, also to be extended as a medium to practice corporate social responsibility. This requires the conduct of a wide array of activities and projects using the LCA model, keeping the integrity of the entire cycle in mind.


The industry is strictly adhering to the practice of the Occupational and Health Safety standards in the workplace. The industry members abide with the minimum wage order, and conducts forum on Labor Laws affecting the plastic industry.

Tariff Matters

The industry is actively participating and co-hosting trade fairs, and advocating for its economic growth via its campaign on anti-smuggling and the removal of tariff distortion on raw materials and finished goods.
